Another shrine about which little information is available: what follows is largely from a notice board in its grounds.
Remains dating to the Jōmon Period have been excavated in what are now the shrine's grounds but all records were lost to fire in the Middle Ages. It is thought that the shrine assumed its present form following Takeda Shingen's conquest of Shinano in the mid-16th century. To commemorate his victory he built a jinja in which the deity of Mitake Jinja in his native province of Kai was enshrined.
